Construction Day 6

Here is a quick update on the construction of the Canton Division. All structural support for the bench work is complete. All that remains is the installing of the foam board and securing of the power cables for the benchwork lighting. All lighting has been installed including four more fixtures on the ceiling, nine fixtures for the lower level and four fixtures for staging. These are installed and operational.
I am planning to start the foam board installation on 15 November 2006. There are many pictures taken this time due to the historic nature of this milestone. Also observe in the photos the support structure for the backdrop. Where possible, the back drop will be installed directly into the wall. Only the wall sides of the layout will have a backdrop.
Some of the benchwork is crude but all of it is functional and very very sturdy. I am proud of this accomplishment as this was my first woodworking project of any kind in my life. Heck, I had never used a circular saw before this project.
